Role Overview

As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Lexington Park, Maryland location, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats while ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional customer experiences. This role combines technical grooming expertise with sales savvy and pet care passion in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
• Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, promote services/merchandise to meet sales targets.
• Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, client records.
• Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness and pet safety; respond to health issues immediately.
• Collaborate across departments and uphold company policies.

Experience & Skills

Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with successful Salon Academy completion. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, scheduling flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational precision, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, exposure to wet/hair-filled environments, and animal handling.
