Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and parents. This hands-on role combines technical grooming expertise with customer engagement, salon operations, and sales in a fast-paced pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards: baths, brushes, nail trims, sanitary care.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs and recommend services/merchandise.
- Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, rebooking.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness, pet safety, and respond to health issues.
- Drive sales targets through promotions and exceptional service.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience required, or completion of PetSmart's 6-month Stylist in Training with Salon Academy certification. Must excel in customer service, organization, communication, and thrive under pressure. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in a pet-filled environment. Flexible scheduling for evenings/weekends essential.
