Role Overview
PetSmart Pet Stylists (Groomers) deliver exceptional salon services for dogs and cats, ensuring positive experiences for pets and parents. This hands-on role combines technical grooming expertise with customer service, salon operations, and sales to drive business success while upholding the highest standards of pet health and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards, including baths, brushes, nail trims, and teeth brushing.
- Engage pet parents to recommend wellness solutions, manage appointments, and promote services/merchandise.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness and humane conditions; respond immediately to pet health concerns.
- Handle check-ins/outs, client communications, and sales targets to boost salon performance.
- Collaborate across departments and participate in team recognition initiatives.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or successful completion of PetSmart's Salon Academy (6 months training). Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling, organizational precision, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing for shifts, and working in pet-filled environments.
