Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This role upholds PetSmart's vision of pet health, safety, and satisfaction while driving salon success through skilled grooming and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary care.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs and recommend services/products to boost pet health.
- Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, rebooking.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness, perform daily maintenance, and ensure humane pet conditions.
- Identify and address sick/injured pets, assist other departments, and promote sales targets.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training plus Salon Academy certification. Must excel in high-pressure environments, demonstrate organizational prowess, computer proficiency, and flexible scheduling for evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in pet-heavy environments.
