Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. This hands-on role upholds cleanliness, pet safety, and sales goals while collaborating across departments in our Los Angeles store.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, promote services/merchandise to meet sales targets.
- Handle reservations, check-ins/outs, reminder calls, and maintain accurate client records.
- Ensure salon sanitation, humane pet conditions, and immediate action on health issues.
- Participate in store culture, follow policies, and assist other areas as needed.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with Salon Academy certification. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, communicate effectively, and work flexible hours including evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and handling pets in a noisy, wet environment.
