Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This role combines technical grooming expertise with customer engagement, salon maintenance, and sales to uphold our high standards of pet health, safety, and satisfaction in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary care.
• Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend services/products to boost health and sales.
• Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, rebooking.
• Maintain impeccable cleanliness, sanitation; monitor pet health and respond to emergencies.
• Collaborate across departments, follow policies, and contribute to team recognition culture.

Experience & Skills

Prior grooming experience required, or completion of 6-month Stylist in Training with Salon Academy certification. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, communicate effectively, and manage flexible schedules including evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, handling pets in a noisy, wet environment with pet hair exposure.
