Role Overview
PetSmart Pet Stylists (Dog/Cat Groomers) deliver exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and parents. This role demands grooming expertise, customer focus, and commitment to cleanliness and safety in a fast-paced retail environment.
Essential Physical Demands
Expect to stand, lift up to 50lbs (team lift 100lbs+), work in wet/hairy conditions with moderate to high noise, and handle live animals daily. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, holidays required.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions and rebook services.
- Handle check-in/out, reservations, and sales register duties.
- Maintain salon sanitation via daily checklists; address pet health issues promptly.
- Promote merchandise to meet sales targets; assist other departments as needed.
Experience & Skills
- Prior grooming or PetSmart Salon Academy certification.
- Computer proficiency, composure under pressure, strong communication.
- Organizational skills, safety focus, sales acumen.
