Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. Based in Macedonia, Ohio, this role upholds company standards for pet health, safety, and salon excellence while driving sales and maintaining operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on health/wellness solutions and recommend services/merchandise to meet sales goals.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and client records; greet and assist customers.
- Maintain salon cleanliness/sanitation daily, including end-of-day checklists; respond to pet health issues.
- Collaborate across departments, follow policies, and contribute to a culture of belonging.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with Salon Academy certification. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, scheduling flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational precision, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet hair-filled, noisy environment with live animals.
