Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Machesney Park, IL location, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats while ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional pet parent experiences. Share responsibility for salon cleanliness and contribute to sales goals in a supportive retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently perform full grooming services per PetSmart standards, including baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care.
- Greet pet parents, manage appointments, check-ins/check-outs, and reminder calls while recommending wellness solutions.
- Maintain salon sanitation through daily cleaning and uphold humane pet conditions; respond to sick/injured pets.
- Drive salon sales by promoting services and merchandise to achieve targets.
- Assist other departments and follow all company policies.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as Stylist in Training with PetSmart Salon Academy completion. Strong communication, organizational skills, and composure under pressure essential. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in a pet-filled environment with moderate noise.
