Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. You'll uphold our vision for pet health, safety, and satisfaction while driving salon performance in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per standards.
- Consult with pet parents on needs, recommend wellness solutions, and promote merchandise/services to meet sales goals.
- Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, client records, and rebooking.
- Maintain impeccable cleanliness/sanitation; monitor pet health, transport sick pets to vets as needed.
- Assist other departments, follow policies, and contribute to team culture.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with Salon Academy certification. Need computer proficiency, pressure-handling composure, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational detail-orientation, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet-hair/wet environment with moderate-high noise and live animal exposure.
