Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. This role upholds cleanliness, safety standards, and drives salon success through expert grooming and customer engagement in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on health solutions, manage appointments, check-ins/outs, and reminder calls.
- Maintain salon sanitation, perform daily maintenance, and ensure humane pet conditions.
- Promote sales of merchandise/services to meet targets and enhance pet wellness.
- Respond to pet health issues, assist departments, and embody company values.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months PetSmart Stylist in Training with Salon Academy certification. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, scheduling flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational precision, and superior communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise.
