Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. Uphold cleanliness, safety, and company standards while recommending wellness solutions. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays required in this dynamic pet retail environment.
Essential Physical Demands
Stand, walk, lift up to 50lbs (team lift 100lbs+), work in wet/hairy conditions with moderate to high noise. Exposure to live animals common; depth perception essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu per PetSmart standards.
- Greet clients, manage appointments, check-in/out procedures.
- Promote sales, recommend products/services to meet targets.
- Maintain salon sanitation; respond to pet health issues.
- Assist other departments and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience or PetSmart Salon Academy certification required. Excel in customer service, organization, communication, and composure under pressure. Computer proficiency and safety focus essential for success.

Responsibilities
- Perform full grooming services including baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing

- Manage salon check-in/out, reservations, and client records
- Maintain salon cleanliness and pet safety standards
- Drive salon sales and achieve productivity targets
