Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and parents. This role upholds cleanliness, safety, and company standards while driving sales and building client relationships in our Maplewood store.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
• Consult with pet parents on health/wellness solutions and recommend services/merchandise.
• Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and maintain accurate client records.
• Promote salon sales to meet targets and ensure outstanding pet parent experiences.
• Maintain salon sanitation, perform daily/end-of-day cleaning, and respond to pet health issues.

Experience & Skills

Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as Stylist in Training with PetSmart Salon Academy certification. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, attention to safety, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet hair-filled, noisy environment with live animals.
