Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Marietta, Georgia location, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats while engaging pet parents. Uphold PetSmart's vision of pet health, safety, and positive experiences in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Recommend wellness solutions and promote merchandise to meet sales targets.
- Handle pet parent interactions: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, and rebooking.
- Maintain salon cleanliness via daily checklists; respond to pet health issues including vet transport.
- Assist other departments and follow all company policies.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as Stylist in Training with PetSmart Salon Academy completion. Proficiency in computers, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication essential. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet hair-filled, noisy environment with live animals.
