Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds pet health/safety standards. This full-time role in Markham involves grooming, customer service, salon maintenance, and sales contributions in a dynamic pet environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on needs, recommend wellness solutions, and drive salon sales.
- Handle check-ins/check-outs, reservations, reminder calls, and client records.
- Maintain salon cleanliness/sanitation; respond to sick/injured pets, including vet transport.
- Assist other departments, promote company values, and meet productivity targets.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months PetSmart Salon Academy completion with safety certification. Must have computer skills, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, strong organization, communication, and ability to lift 50+ lbs in a wet, noisy, pet-filled environment with moderate physical demands like standing, stooping, and reaching.
