Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. You'll uphold our vision of pet health, safety, and satisfaction while driving salon success through skilled grooming and customer engagement in a fast-paced retail setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
• Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend services/products to boost health and sales.
• Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and maintain accurate client records.
• Ensure salon cleanliness, sanitation, and humane pet conditions; perform daily maintenance.
• Respond to pet health issues, assist other departments, and promote salon metrics.

Experience & Skills

Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with Salon Academy certification. Must have computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, exposure to wet/noisy environments with animals.
