Role Overview
PetSmart’s Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers best-in-class salon services while ensuring pet health, safety, and positive experiences. You'll engage pet parents in-person, by phone, and at checkout, sharing responsibility for salon cleanliness and upholding our vision, mission, values, and strategy.
Essential Physical Demands
Stand, walk, lift up to 50lbs (team lift 100lbs+), work in wet environments with pet hair and moderate noise. Exposure to live animals is daily.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently perform full grooming menu and standalone services per PetSmart standards.
- Recommend health solutions, greet clients, manage reservations and records.
- Drive sales, promote services, maintain salon sanitation daily.
- Handle sick/injured pets, assist other departments, follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as Stylist in Training with PetSmart Salon Academy certification. Proficiency in computers, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication essential.
