Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our McKinney, Texas location, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats while ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional pet parent experiences. This role combines technical grooming expertise with customer engagement to drive salon success.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend solutions, and upsell merchandise/services to meet sales targets.
- Handle salon operations: greet clients, manage appointments, check-in/out, reminder calls, and maintain accurate records.
- Uphold cleanliness/sanitation via daily maintenance checklists; respond immediately to sick/injured pets, including vet transport.
- Assist other departments, follow policies, and contribute to store culture.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as Stylist in Training with PetSmart Salon Academy certification. Proficiency in computers, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, strong organization, communication, and composure under pressure essential. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise.
