Role Overview
PetSmart Pet Stylists (Dog/Cat Groomers) deliver exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This role combines technical grooming expertise with customer service, salon operations, and sales to uphold our high standards of pet health, safety, and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary care.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, recommend products/services to meet pet needs.
- Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, rebooking.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness, perform daily/end-of-day maintenance, ensure humane pet conditions.
- Drive sales growth, achieve targets; assist in other store areas as needed; respond to pet health emergencies.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or completion of PetSmart's 6-month Stylist in Training program including Salon Academy certification. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational precision, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, handling animals in a dynamic environment.
