Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Melbourne, Florida location, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats while ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional customer experiences. This role combines technical grooming expertise with customer engagement to drive salon success.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards, including baths, brushes, nail trims, and sanitary care.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, recommend products, and upsell services to meet sales goals.
- Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, and record maintenance.
- Maintain impeccable cleanliness, perform daily maintenance, and respond to pet health issues by coordinating vet transport if needed.
- Collaborate across departments and adhere to all company policies.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or completion of PetSmart's Salon Academy training. Must demonstrate composure under pressure, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, strong organization, communication skills, and computer proficiency. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing for extended periods, and working in a pet-filled environment.
