Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers best-in-class salon services while ensuring pet health, safety, and positive pet parent experiences. This full-time role in our Mesa store involves grooming expertise, customer engagement, and maintaining salon standards in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently perform full grooming services per PetSmart standards
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions and rebook appointments
- Handle check-in/out procedures, phone reservations, and sales register
- Maintain salon cleanliness, perform end-of-day maintenance
- Identify and address sick/injured pets, assist other departments as needed
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience required, or completion of PetSmart's 6-month Stylist in Training program with Salon Academy certification. Must have computer proficiency, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, strong communication, and ability to lift 50+ lbs. Physical demands include standing, stooping, and working in a pet-filled environment.
