Role Overview

As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Mesquite, Texas location, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats while ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional customer experiences. This role combines technical grooming expertise with customer engagement to drive salon success.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards, including baths, brushes, nail trims, and teeth brushing.
• Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend services, and upsell merchandise to meet sales goals.
• Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, and client records.
• Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness and humane conditions; respond immediately to sick/injured pets.
• Flexibly assist other departments and follow all company policies.

Experience & Skills

Seeking groomers with prior experience or successful completion of PetSmart’s 6-month Salon Academy training and safety certification. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings, weekends, holidays), organizational precision, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing for shifts, and working in pet-heavy, wet environments with moderate noise.
