Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Miami, Florida location, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats, ensure pet health and safety, and provide exceptional customer experiences. This role demands passion for pets, grooming expertise, and a commitment to PetSmart's vision and values.
Essential Physical Demands
Expect to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs (team lift over 100 lbs), and work in a pet-filled environment with moderate to high noise, wet conditions, and pet hair exposure.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions and rebook appointments.
- Maintain salon sanitation and respond to pet health emergencies.
- Drive salon sales through recommendations and merchandising.
- Assist in other store areas and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or PetSmart Salon Academy certification. Must possess computer skills, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling, organizational prowess, and strong communication. Physical agility for handling pets and salon tasks is essential.

Responsibilities
- Perform full grooming services including baths, brushes, nail trims, and sanitary care
- Manage pet parent interactions, reservations, check-ins, and check-outs
- Maintain salon cleanliness, pet safety, and health standards
- Promote sales of merchandise and services to meet targets
- Handle sick or injured pets and assist other departments as needed
