Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensures pet health and safety, and builds lasting pet parent relationships. This dynamic role combines technical grooming expertise with customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions and upsell merchandise/services to meet sales goals.
- Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, and record-keeping.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness, perform daily maintenance, and respond to pet health issues.
- Collaborate across departments and embody company values.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with Salon Academy certification. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, communicate effectively, and work flexible hours including evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and handling pets in a noisy, wet environment.
