Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds top standards for pet health, safety, and salon cleanliness. This dynamic role combines hands-on grooming with customer interaction to drive sales and positive experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, manage appointments, check-ins/outs, records, and reminder calls.
- Promote services/merchandise to meet sales targets; handle register and phone interactions.
- Maintain salon sanitation via daily checklists; respond to pet health issues, including vet transport.
- Assist other departments, follow policies, and contribute to a culture of belonging.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as Stylist in Training with PetSmart Salon Academy completion. Need computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, communication, and physical ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand extensively, work in wet/noisy environments with animals.
