Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds the highest standards of pet health, safety, and salon cleanliness. This dynamic role combines technical grooming expertise with outstanding customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart protocols.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, manage appointments, check-ins/outs, and reminder calls.
- Drive salon sales through service recommendations and merchandise upsells to hit productivity targets.
- Maintain impeccable salon hygiene, perform daily maintenance, and respond to pet health emergencies.
- Collaborate across departments, participate in recognition programs, and adhere to all policies.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or completion of PetSmart's Salon Academy. Must demonstrate composure under pressure, physical stamina (lifting 50+ lbs), flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, and proficiency in communication and computers. Strong safety focus and passion for pets required.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (experience)
- Capacity to lift 50+ lbs and handle physical demands in pet environment (experience)
Responsibilities

- Manage pet parent interactions, reservations, check-in/out, and rebooking
- Maintain salon cleanliness, sanitation, and pet safety; handle sick/injured pets
