Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This role combines technical grooming expertise with outstanding customer service, salon maintenance, and sales growth in a fast-paced retail environment. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary care.
• Consult with pet parents on health/wellness solutions and recommend services/merchandise to meet sales targets.
• Handle check-in/out, reservations, reminder calls, and maintain accurate client records.
• Uphold salon cleanliness, sanitation, and humane pet conditions; perform daily maintenance.
• Respond to pet health issues, assist other departments, and follow all company policies.

Experience & Skills

Requires prior grooming experience or successful completion of PetSmart's 6-month Stylist in Training program with Salon Academy certification. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, strong organization, attention to safety, and excellent communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing for shifts, and working in a pet-filled, sometimes noisy/wet environment.
