Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensures pet safety, and builds lasting pet parent relationships. This full-time role in our Miramichi store demands grooming expertise, customer focus, and teamwork in a fast-paced pet environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs and recommend solutions to boost health and sales.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and client records.
- Maintain salon sanitation, perform daily cleaning, and respond to pet health issues.
- Drive salon metrics through upselling services and merchandise while assisting other store areas.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, communicate effectively, and organize efficiently. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing extensively, and working in wet, noisy settings with live animals. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, holidays essential.
