Role Overview
PetSmart Pet Stylists (Dog/Cat Groomers) deliver exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. This role upholds company standards for pet health, safety, and salon excellence while driving sales and maintaining a clean workspace. Located in Mission Valley, California, enjoy flexibility and impact in a pet-loving community.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, recommend services/merchandise to boost sales.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and client records.
- Maintain salon sanitation, perform daily/end-of-day cleaning, ensure humane pet conditions.
- Respond to pet health issues, assist other departments, follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Required Qualifications
- Prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with Salon Academy certification/technical evaluation pass.
- Computer proficiency, strong communication, organizational skills.
- Flexible schedule for evenings/weekends/holidays; composure under pressure.
Physical Demands
Stand/walk extensively, lift 50+ lbs, work in wet/noisy environments with animals. Depth perception and team lifting required.
