Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds the highest standards of pet health, safety, and salon cleanliness. This dynamic role in our Mississauga location combines hands-on grooming with customer service to exceed expectations and boost salon performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary services per PetSmart protocols.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend services/products, and promote sales to meet targets.
- Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, and rebooking.
- Maintain impeccable salon hygiene, perform daily maintenance, and ensure humane pet conditions.
- Monitor pet health, take immediate action for injuries/illness including vet transport, and assist other store areas as needed.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or successful completion of PetSmart's 6-month Salon Academy training and certification. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, communicate effectively, and manage flexible schedules including evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical stamina required: lift 50+ lbs, stand extensively, work in wet/noisy environments with animals.
