Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring pet health, safety, and parent satisfaction. This hands-on role in our Mississauga location involves grooming, client consultations, salon operations, and sales growth while upholding company standards in a dynamic pet retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
• Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend services/products to boost health and sales.
• Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and maintain accurate client records.
• Ensure salon cleanliness, sanitation, and humane pet conditions; perform daily/end-of-day maintenance.
• Respond to pet health issues, assist other departments, and follow all policies.

Experience & Skills

Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with successful Salon Academy completion. Must have computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, attention to detail/safety, and strong communication. Physical demands include standing, lifting 50+ lbs, handling pets in a wet, noisy environment with pet hair exposure.
