Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. This role upholds PetSmart's vision through expert grooming, safety standards, and sales growth in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per company standards.
- Consult with pet parents on health/wellness solutions, recommend products/services to meet sales targets.
- Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, client records, rebooking.
- Maintain impeccable cleanliness/sanitation; monitor pet health, transport sick pets to vet if needed.
- Assist other departments, follow policies, participate in team culture.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months PetSmart Stylist in Training with Salon Academy certification/technical evaluation. Need computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, strong communication. Physical demands: lift 50+ lbs, stand/walk extensively, work in wet/noisy pet environments with animals.
