Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This full-time role upholds our high standards for pet health, safety, and salon excellence while contributing to store success.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs and recommend solutions
- Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, rebooking
- Maintain impeccable cleanliness and humane conditions daily
- Drive sales through merchandise and service promotions
- Respond to pet health issues and assist other departments as needed
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience required, or completion of PetSmart's 6-month Stylist in Training program with Salon Academy certification. Must excel in customer service, organization, communication, and thrive in a fast-paced environment with physical demands like lifting 50+ lbs. Flexible scheduling including evenings/weekends essential.
Physical Demands & Environment
Expect standing, lifting, pet handling in a moderate-noise salon with wet conditions and animal exposure. Depth perception and composure under pressure required.
