Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers best-in-class salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This role upholds company standards for cleanliness, pet health, safety, and sales while collaborating across departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions and rebook appointments
- Handle check-in/out procedures, reservations, and salon promotions
- Maintain impeccable salon sanitation and respond to pet health issues
- Drive sales through merchandise recommendations and metrics achievement
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience required, or completion of PetSmart's 6-month Stylist in Training program with Salon Academy certification. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in a pet-filled environment.
