Role Overview
PetSmart Pet Stylists (Dog/Cat Groomers) deliver exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and parents. This full-time role in our Morrisville store involves grooming expertise, customer engagement, and maintaining top safety standards in a fast-paced pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs and recommend services/merchandise to boost sales.
- Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, and rebooking.
- Uphold cleanliness, sanitation, and humane pet conditions; perform daily maintenance.
- Respond to pet health issues, assist other departments, and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or completion of PetSmart's 6-month Stylist in Training with Salon Academy certification. Must have computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise.
