Role Overview
PetSmart Pet Stylists (Dog/Cat Groomers) deliver exceptional salon services, ensuring pet health, safety, and parent satisfaction. This hands-on role combines technical grooming expertise with outstanding customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs and recommend solutions.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and rebooking.
- Maintain salon cleanliness, perform daily maintenance, and ensure humane pet conditions.
- Drive sales through merchandise promotion and service upsells to meet targets.
- Respond to pet health issues and assist across departments as needed.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or completion of PetSmart's Salon Academy (6 months training). Must excel in high-pressure settings, possess computer proficiency, strong communication, and organizational skills. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise. Flexible scheduling required (evenings/weekends/holidays).
