Role Overview
PetSmart Pet Stylists (Dog/Cat Groomers) deliver exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and parents. This full-time role in Myrtle Beach, SC, demands grooming expertise, customer focus, and commitment to pet safety and salon excellence. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential in our fast-paced pet retail environment.
Essential Physical Demands
Expect to stand, lift up to 50lbs (team lift 100lbs+), handle pets in wet/hairy conditions, climb ladders, and maintain composure amid moderate-to-high noise. Depth perception and quick reactions are key.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions and rebook services.
- Handle check-in/out, phone reservations, and sales register duties.
- Uphold salon cleanliness via daily maintenance checklists.
- Respond to pet health issues and assist other departments as needed.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion. Excel with strong communication, organization, computer skills, and pressure-handling. Passion for pets, sales acumen, and safety focus set top candidates apart.
