Role Overview
PetSmart Pet Stylists (Dog/Cat Groomers) deliver exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. Based in Myrtle Grove, NC, this role upholds PetSmart's vision through expert grooming, safety standards, and sales excellence in a dynamic pet environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Recommend wellness solutions, promote merchandise/services to meet sales targets.
- Handle pet parent interactions: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, consultations, reminder calls.
- Maintain salon cleanliness/sanitation; respond to pet health issues, including vet transport.
- Assist other departments, follow policies, and contribute to team culture.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months PetSmart Stylist in Training with Salon Academy certification. Must have computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, exposure to pets/noise/wet areas.
