Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers best-in-class salon services while ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional pet parent experiences. Based in N Las Vegas, Nevada, this role combines technical grooming expertise with customer engagement to uphold our vision of outstanding pet care.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards, including baths, brushes, nail trims, and sanitary care.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions and promote merchandise to meet sales goals.
- Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, and rebooking.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness and immediately address pet health issues, including vet transport if needed.
- Assist other departments and follow all company policies.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience required, or completion of PetSmart's 6-month Stylist in Training program with Salon Academy certification. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in a pet-filled environment.
