Role Overview
PetSmart Pet Stylists (Groomers) deliver exceptional dog and cat grooming services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and parents. This hands-on role combines technical grooming expertise with customer service, salon maintenance, and sales to uphold our high standards of pet health, safety, and satisfaction in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart protocols.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend services/products, and manage appointments via phone/in-person.
- Drive salon revenue by promoting sales, achieving targets, and handling check-in/out with rebooking.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness, perform daily maintenance, and respond swiftly to pet health issues.
- Collaborate across departments, follow policies, and contribute to our inclusive culture.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with successful Salon Academy completion/certification. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, communicate effectively, and organize with safety focus. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet hair-filled, noisy environment with live animals.
