Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and parents. This role upholds cleanliness, safety, and company standards while driving salon success through expert grooming and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
• Consult with pet parents on health/wellness solutions and recommend services/merchandise.
• Handle check-in/out, reservations, reminder calls, and client records.
• Maintain salon sanitation, perform daily/end-of-day cleaning, and ensure humane pet conditions.
• Identify sick/injured pets and coordinate vet transport; assist other departments as needed.
• Promote sales to meet targets and participate in recognition culture.

Experience & Skills

Require prior grooming experience or 6 months PetSmart Stylist in Training with Salon Academy certification. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet hair/wet environment with moderate-high noise.
