Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This role upholds our vision of pet health, safety, and satisfaction while driving salon sales and maintaining top cleanliness standards in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
• Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend solutions, and promote merchandise/services to meet sales goals.
• Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, and client records.
• Ensure salon hygiene through daily maintenance, end-of-day cleaning, and humane pet conditions.
• Respond to pet health issues, assist other departments, and follow all company policies.

Experience & Skills

Requires prior grooming experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling, organizational precision, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in a pet-filled, noisy environment with reasonable accommodations available.
