Role Overview
PetSmart Pet Stylists (Dog/Cat Groomers) deliver exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and parents. This role upholds PetSmart's vision through expert grooming, safety standards, and customer engagement in a dynamic retail setting. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential in our Nashville location.
Essential Physical Demands
Expect standing, lifting up to 50lbs (team lift 100lbs+), working in wet/hairy environments with moderate to high noise, and handling live animals. Depth perception and composure under pressure required.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions and rebook services.
- Drive salon sales through recommendations and promotions.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness and respond to pet health issues.
- Handle check-ins, check-outs, calls, and multi-department support.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion required. Excel in organization, communication, computer use, and safety. Thrive in fast-paced settings with pet parents and animals.
