Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Nashville store, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats while ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional pet parent experiences. This role upholds PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently perform full grooming services per PetSmart standards: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary care.
- Recommend wellness solutions and upsell merchandise/services to meet sales targets.
- Handle pet parent interactions: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, consultations.
- Maintain salon cleanliness, sanitation, and humane conditions; perform daily/end-of-day maintenance.
- Respond to sick/injured pets, assist other departments, follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as Stylist in Training with PetSmart Salon Academy certification. Need computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, attention to safety, strong communication. Physical demands: lift 50+ lbs, stand/walk extensively, work in wet/noisy environments with animals.
