Role Overview
PetSmart Pet Stylists (Dog/Cat Groomers) deliver exceptional salon services, ensuring pet health, safety, and parent satisfaction. This hands-on role combines technical grooming expertise with outstanding customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Engage pet parents to recommend wellness solutions and upsell services/merchandise.
- Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, record-keeping.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness, perform daily maintenance, and ensure humane pet conditions.
- Respond to pet health issues, assist other departments, and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, and communicate effectively. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet-hair-filled, noisy environment. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, holidays required.
