Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our New Braunfels, Texas location, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats while ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional pet parent experiences. This role combines technical grooming expertise with customer engagement and salon operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently perform full grooming services per PetSmart standards: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary care.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, recommend services/merchandise to meet sales goals.
- Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, client records.
- Maintain impeccable cleanliness, sanitation, and humane conditions; respond to pet health issues.
- Collaborate across departments and uphold company policies.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as Stylist in Training with PetSmart Salon Academy certification. Proficiency in computers, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication essential. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, exposure to pets/noise/wet environments.
