Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds the highest standards of pet health, safety, and salon cleanliness. This role combines technical grooming expertise with outstanding customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, manage appointments, and drive salon sales.
- Maintain impeccable salon sanitation and respond to pet health issues promptly.
- Handle check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and merchandise recommendations.
- Collaborate across departments and participate in team recognition initiatives.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or completion of PetSmart's Salon Academy. Must demonstrate composure under pressure, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, strong communication, organizational skills, and physical ability to lift 50+ lbs in a pet-filled environment. Computer proficiency required.

Responsibilities
- Perform full grooming services including bath, brush, nail trims, teeth brushing
- Engage pet parents, recommend services, manage appointments and check-ins
- Maintain salon cleanliness, pet safety, and health standards
- Promote sales of merchandise and services to meet targets
- Assist other departments and respond to pet emergencies
