Role Overview
PetSmart Pet Stylists (Groomers) deliver exceptional salon services for dogs and cats, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. This role demands grooming expertise, customer engagement, and commitment to cleanliness, safety, and sales goals in a fast-paced store setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on health solutions, recommend products/services to boost sales.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and maintain accurate client records.
- Uphold salon sanitation, perform daily maintenance, and ensure humane pet conditions.
- Respond to pet health issues, assist other departments, and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with Salon Academy certification. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, communicate effectively, and work flexible hours including evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet hair-filled, noisy environment with live animals.
