Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services while prioritizing pet health, safety, and customer satisfaction. This role involves hands-on grooming, client consultations, salon maintenance, and sales contributions in a fast-paced retail environment. Ideal for animal lovers with grooming expertise seeking flexible, rewarding work.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
• Engage pet parents to recommend wellness solutions, promote services/merchandise, and drive salon sales targets.
• Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and maintain accurate client records.
• Ensure salon cleanliness/sanitation, monitor pet health, and respond to emergencies like vet transports.
• Collaborate across departments and uphold company policies for a positive team culture.

Experience & Skills

Require prior grooming experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion (6 months training). Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational precision, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in pet hair/wet environments with moderate-high noise.
