Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Newnan, Georgia location, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats while ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional pet parent experiences. Share responsibility for salon cleanliness and contribute to sales goals in a dynamic pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
Core Grooming Services
- Independently perform full bath, brush, grooming, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Identify and address sick/injured pets, transporting to vet if needed.
Customer Engagement
- Greet pet parents, manage reservations, check-in/out, and conduct reminder calls.
- Recommend wellness solutions, merchandise, and services to boost sales and satisfaction.
Salon Operations
- Maintain cleanliness and humane conditions using daily checklists.
- Track client records, promote salon growth, and assist other departments.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or 6 months as Stylist in Training plus PetSmart Salon Academy certification. Must have computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling, organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in pet hair/wet environments with moderate noise.
